## **System Requirements**

Below are the minimum and recommended system specifications.

* **macOS 12 or newer**
* *Virtualized macOS environments are not supported*

* **Recommended:** Apple Silicon **M1 or newer**

### **Memory (RAM)**

**Apple Silicon systems:**

* **Recommended:** 32 GB for 4K workflows
* **Minimum:** 16 GB

### **GPU**

**Apple Silicon systems:**

* **Recommended:** 16 GB unified memory
* **Minimum:** 8 GB unified memory
* Requires **Metal 2** support

### **Storage**

* **Installation:** 1GB
* **Recommended:** SSD or NVMe/M.2 drive for fastest thumbnail creation

## **Installation**

The Calibrated QuickLook plugin is included automatically with the Tin Man application.

### **How to Install**

1. **Install or update Tin Man.**
2. During installation, the **Calibrated QuickLook plugin is registered with macOS**.
3. **Launch Tin Man at least once** to complete the **QuickLook** integration.
4. To have full Video Preview Playback of MXF files - you need to Force quit and restart Finder every time you start your Mac.&#x20;

No additional setup should be required.&#x20;

## **How to Disable the Calibrated QuickLook Plugin**

If you prefer not to use Spotlight integration:

1. Open **System Settings**.
2. Navigate to **General → Login & Extensions**.
3. In the *QuickLook* section, click the **ⓘ (info icon)** next to **Calibrated Tin Man.app**.
4. Toggle *QuickLook off* for the Tin Man extension for Thumbnails and/or Preview.

You may re-enable it at any time using the same steps.
