Free Trial Limitations (Desktop)

The Tin Man free trial allows you to evaluate core functionality with the below limitations. Please note that the free trial is for testing only and not intended for production use.

Playback & Export

  • Playback may be watermarked with Tin Man logo when using advanced features.

  • Exports are limited to one minute in length

Reports

  • XLSX and PDF Clip Reports are limited to 5 clips at a time

  • CSV, XLSX, and PDF Marker Reports are limited to 5 clips at a time

Metadata

  • Realtime metadata will only show field names (not values) after the first frame

  • Changing MOV TimeCode is limited to once per app session

  • Exporting ARRI LUT Files is limited to once per app session

  • Saving RED RAW Sidecar files is limited to once per app session

  • Saving Blackmagic RAW Sidecar files is limited to once per app session

  • Saving thumbnails is limited to 3 times per app session

  • Saving non-realtime and real-time metadata is not support in the free trial

Project

  • Saving or loading projects is limited to 1 time per app session

  • Saving or loading layouts is limited to 1 time per app session

Pro Features (Limited in Trial)

The following Tin Man Pro features are available with restrictions during the trial:

  • DaVinci Resolve Integration: Sending or updating files in DaVinci Resolve Studio is limited to 5 times per app session

  • DaVinci Resolve Metadata Export: Exporting DaVinci Resolve CSV Metadata files is limited to 5 times per app session

  • Monitor Color Space and LUT

  • Display video on 2nd Monitor

  • Avid DNxHD/HR Encoding/Decoding (see note below)

  • Export with AAF sidecar in MXF OP-Atom

  • Export with FCPXML sidecar

Not Supported in Trial

Colourlab Ai Integration

The free trial does not support workflows with Colourlab Ai products. This workflow is only supported in licensed versions (Standard or Pro or Server). To request a limited trial for Colourlab Ai workflows, please contact us at [email protected]envelope.

Avid DNxHD/HR

DNxHD/HR/Unc decoding and DNxHD/HR encoding using the Avid SDK is not in the free trial or standard version. That is only supported in Tin Man Pro and Tin Man Server. If you’d like to try these features for a limited time, please contact usenvelope. Note: DNxHD/HR 422 can be decoded with using the FFmpeg SDK in the free trial and the standard version.
