CinemaDNG

These preferences define the default behavior when importing CinemaDNG RAW files. All settings can be overridden per file in the Video Image → Source panel.


Playback and Decode Settings

  • Default Playback Resolution Controls the resolution used during playback.

    Lowering this can improve playback speed but reduces visual quality.

  • Default Decode Quality Sets the default decoding quality used for CinemaDNG RAW playback and processing.


Color Processing Defaults

  • Default Log Processing Specifies the default color space to be applied during decode.


CDL & LUT Processing

  • Pre CDL LUT Automatically applies a 3D LUT before CDL processing.

  • Enable CDL Enables or disables CDL adjustments for CinemaDNG RAW files.

  • Post CDL LUT Automatically applies a 3D LUT after CDL processing.

  • Dst Color Space Pre CDL LUT Defines the destination color space the Pre CDL LUT will transform to.

  • Dst Color Space Post CDL LUT Defines the destination color space the Post CDL LUT will transform to.


Color Level Handling

  • Dst Color Level Sets the default color range behavior:

    • Full Range (Label) – Tags the video as Full Range

    • Full Range (Convert) – Converts from Video Range to Full Range

    • Video Range (Label) – Tags the video as Video Range

    • Video Range (Convert) – Converts from Full Range to Video Range


LUT Folder

  • CinemaDNG LUT Folder Sets the default folder opened when browsing for 3D LUTs associated with CinemaDNG RAW files.
