DaVinci Resolve Studio Integration (Tin Man Pro)

Tin Man Pro provides advanced integration with DaVinci Resolve Studio, making it easier than ever to transfer files, metadata, and markers between your Tin Man Pro projects and your Resolve projects. Please be aware that sending a large number of files at once may increase the time it takes for Resolve to process them.

The following options are available in the File List right-click menu under DaVinci Resolve:

  • Send Files (Studio): Send selected files from Tin Man Pro to your open DaVinci Resolve Studio project for immediate use or organization. When audio sync is enabled, synced video and external audio clips are sent together.

  • Send + Update Files (Studio):

Send selected files to DaVinci Resolve Studio and automatically update their metadata within Resolve, ensuring all clip information is accurate and synchronized.

  • Update Files (Studio):

Update the metadata of files that are already present in your DaVinci Resolve Studio project, without needing to resend the original media.

  • Send + Add Markers (Studio): Send selected files to DaVinci Resolve Studio and add their markers to the corresponding clips in Resolve.

  • Add Markers (Studio): Add markers from Tin Man to files that are already present in your DaVinci Resolve Studio project.

  • Export Metadata CSV: Generate a Resolve-compatible CSV file containing detailed metadata for your selected files. Once exported, you can import the CSV into DaVinci Resolve using File → Import Metadata To to update the metadata of the corresponding files in your Resolve Media Pool.

  • Scripting Options: Configure which metadata fields are sent to DaVinci Resolve Studio or exported in CSV.

The following options are available in the Bins context menu:

  • Send Bins (Studio): Quickly send selected bins and the files in them from Tin Man Pro to your open DaVinci Resolve Studio project for immediate use or organization.
