# Preferences

Tin Man's default preferences are optimized for general use and should work well for most workflows out of the box. However, you may want to adjust specific settings to better suit your environment—especially when working with **RAW footage** or integrating Tin Man into a customized post-production pipeline.

The Preferences panel allows you to fine-tune playback behavior, color management, import settings, audio output, and more.
