# Blackmagic RAW

These preferences define the default behavior when importing Blackmagic RAW files. All options can be overridden per file in the **Video Image → Source** panel.

**Playback and Color Science**

* **Default Playback Resolution**\
  Sets the default playback resolution.

  > Lower resolutions improve performance but reduce image detail.
* **Default Color Primaries**\
  Sets the default color primaries used for processing.
* **Default Color Gamma**\
  Sets the default gamma curve used for tone mapping.
* **Default Color Science**\
  Defines which Blackmagic Color Science version is used.
* **Default Embedded LUT**\
  Toggles whether the embedded LUT is automatically applied.

**LUT & CDL Management**

* **Blackmagic RAW LUT Folder**\
  Sets the default folder used when browsing for LUTs.
* **Pre CDL LUT**\
  Automatically applies a 3D LUT before CDL processing.
* **Enable CDL**\
  Enables or disables the default use of a CDL (Color Decision List).
* **Post CDL LUT**\
  Automatically applies a 3D LUT after CDL processing.
* **Dst Color Space Pre CDL LUT**\
  Specifies the destination color space for the **Pre CDL LUT**.
* **Dst Color Space Post CDL LUT**\
  Specifies the destination color space for the **Post CDL LUT**.

**Color Level Handling**

* **Dst Color Level**\
  Controls how the color range is tagged or converted:
  * **Full Range (Label)** – Tags footage as Full Range
  * **Full Range (Convert)** – Converts from Video Range to Full Range
  * **Video Range (Label)** – Tags footage as Video Range
  * **Video Range (Convert)** – Converts from Full Range to Video Range
