# Canon RAW

These preferences define the default behavior when importing Canon RAW files. All options can be overridden per file in the **Video Image → Source** panel.

**Playback and Decode Settings**

* **Default Playback Resolution**\
  Sets the playback resolution for Canon RAW.

  > Lower values increase playback speed at the cost of visual fidelity.
* **Default Decode Quality**\
  Controls the quality of the Canon RAW decode process.

**Color Processing Defaults**

* **Default Color Primaries**\
  Defines the default color primaries used when processing Canon RAW files.
* **Default Color Gamma**\
  Defines the default gamma curve used for color processing.

**CDL & LUT Processing**

* **Pre CDL LUT**\
  Automatically applies a 3D LUT *before* CDL processing.
* **Enable CDL**\
  Enables or disables CDL adjustments for Canon RAW files.
* **Post CDL LUT**\
  Automatically applies a 3D LUT *after* CDL processing.
* **Dst Color Space Pre CDL LUT**\
  Defines the destination color space the Pre CDL LUT transforms the image into.
* **Dst Color Space Post CDL LUT**\
  Defines the destination color space the Post CDL LUT transforms the image into.

**Color Level Handling**

* **Dst Color Level**\
  Controls how color range is interpreted or transformed:
  * **Full Range (Label)** – Tags video as Full Range
  * **Full Range (Convert)** – Converts from Video Range to Full Range
  * **Video Range (Label)** – Tags video as Video Range
  * **Video Range (Convert)** – Converts from Full Range to Video Range

**LUT Folder**

* **Canon RAW LUT Folder**\
  Sets the default folder for browsing 3D LUTs when importing or adjusting Canon RAW files.
