Report Panel
The Report Panel in Tin Man allows users to generate two types of reports:
Clip Reports – CSV, XLSX or PDF formats, using metadata extracted from the Inspect Panel for all visible files in the File List.
Marker Reports – CSV, XLSX, or PDF formats, using marker metadata from the Markers Panel for all visible files in the File List.
Generating a Report
Click the Report icon (⚡ lightning bolt) to create a report for all currently visible files in the File List.
Panel Overview
The panel is divided into two main sections:
1. Report Setup (upper half)
Choose report type: Clip Report or Marker Report or both
Choose format: CSV or XLSX (or PDF for Marker Reports)
Set the report name and destination folder
2. Report Data (lower half)
Select which metadata fields to include in the report
Enter project-specific header information (e.g., Project Name, Director, etc.)
Note: Project-specific headers are available only in XLSX or PDF reports.
Clip Report Options
Dark Mode PDF – When enabled, the generated Clip Report PDF will use a dark color theme.
Thumbnails PDF – When enabled, the generated Clip Report PDF will include three thumbnails per clip. You can adjust the thumbnail rendering quality by selecting from the following options: Fastest, Fast, Standard, Good, High, or Maximum.
Metadata Automatically Included
File Name – Full name of the media file
Metadata Optional Fields
General File Info
File Path – Directory path on disk
Size – File size (GB)
Duration – Clip length in timecode
Format – File container format
Frame Rate – e.g., 23.976, 24, 25
Timecode – SMPTE timecode with base rate (editable in Interpret Properties)
Date Created – File creation date
Video Codec – Detected video compression format
Resolution – e.g., 5792×4854 (2.00 pixel aspect)
Field Type – Progressive or Interlaced
Color Space – e.g., Sony S-Gamut3.Cine / S-Log3
Audio Codec – e.g., PCM 24-bit @ 48kHz
Channels – Number of audio channels and layout

Marker Report Options
Sort by TimeCode – When checked - markers for a clip are sorted by their start TimeCode first before being written into the report.
Dark Mode PDF – When enabled, the generated Marker Report PDF will use a dark color theme.
Metadata Automatically Included
File Name – Full name of the media file
Marker Name – The name of the marker
Notes – Notes entered for the marker
Metadata Optional Fields
File Path – Directory path on disk
Color – The color tagged for the marker
Start – Start time of the marker
End – End time of the marker
Duration – Duration of the marker
Date – Timestamp when the marker was added
Clip metadata - Scene, Shot, Take, Comments, and Description from the Clip metadata
Workflow Example
Open the Report Panel and choose whether to create a Clip Report or Marker Report.
Select the desired report format (CSV, XLSX, or PDF for markers).
Enter a report name and choose the destination folder.
In the Report Data section, select which metadata fields to include.
(Optional) Add project-specific headers such as Project Name or Director (available in XLSX and PDF formats).
Click Generate Report to create the file.
