The Sony RAW Properties Panel provides full control over decoding and image processing of Sony RAW footage, enabling precise color management and creative adjustments during playback and export.
Decode & Color Settings
Decode Quality Adjust the render and playback quality for Sony RAW files. Lower quality improves performance; higher quality improves image fidelity.
Log Processing Select the Color Space used when processing the Sony RAW footage.
Destination Color Level Define how the processed footage is tagged or transformed:
Full Range (Label) – Default; tags output as Full Range
Full Range (Convert) – Converts Video Range to Full Range
Video Range (Label) – Tags output as Video Range
Video Range (Convert) – Converts Full Range to Video Range
Useful for managing output consistency when using LUTs that alter level mappings.
Resolution Change the resolution of the decoded output.
Orientation Set the output orientation (e.g., 0°, 90°, 180°, 270°) for the decoded footage.
Adjust key image attributes, including:
Temperature
Tint
Sharpness
Exposure
Wall Temperature (Sony-specific color blending for skin tones and neutral objects)
Light Blend (Blends influence between ambient and practical lighting)
Right-click any control or label to reset it to its default value.
Apply a 3D LUT before the CDL is applied:
Assign a Destination Color Space for LUT processing
To reset:
Right-click the “LUT” label and select Reset
Click the Reset icon next to Pre CDL LUT
Apply and adjust Color Decision List (CDL) controls:
Brightness
Contrast
Contrast Pivot
Highlights
Midtones
Shadows
Saturation
Slope
Offset
Power
Right-click individual controls or labels to reset. Click the Reset icon next to Image CDL to reset the entire CDL section.
Apply a 3D LUT after the CDL is applied:
Assign a Destination Color Space
Reset via:
Right-clicking the “LUT” label
Clicking the Reset icon next to Post CDL LUT
Right-click the Sony RAW Properties section header to:
Copy the current settings
Paste to other Sony RAW files
Reset to default
These actions apply to all selected Sony RAW files in the File List Window.
