Export Audio Options

The Audio Export drop down control allows you to choose what type of audio to export or to disable audio export.

The current Audio Export options are AAC, AC3, and PCM (Uncompressed)

AAC and AC3 audio is limited to MOV and MP4 file format exports and is limited to stereo only.

Codec Settings

  • Depth - The bit depth for PCM audio export

  • Bitrate - The bitrate for AAC and AC3 audio exports.

  • Sample Rate - the sample rate of the audio export

  • Resample Quality - if the Sample Rate is converted from the source (ie converting 44.1kHz to 48kHz) then this option allows you to set the quality of that conversion.

Channel Settings

  • Channel Mapping - when enabled, the audio channels will attempt to export using the "Audio Mapping" configuration from the Audio Mapping playback panel. You can choose to either export the audio according to the Audio Channel# or the Audio Speaker Output#.

  • Channel Layout - this options lets you choose how the audio channels will be saved in the export file.

    • Auto - this will attempt to match the channel layout in the source file

    • Discrete - every audio channel will be in its own single audio track

    • Interleaved Pairs - this will interleave two audio channels in a single audio track

    • Single Track - All audio channels will be in a single audio track.

  • # Channels - This option allows you to set the number of channels in the exported file
