Export General Options

Format

The Format drop-down control allows you to choose the file format to export into. The current choices are MOV, MP4, MXF OP1a, MXF OP-Atom, and Image Sequence.

Depending on the format chosen there may be optional Format Settings that appear in the Format Setting Section.

Format Settings

  • MOV Format Settings

    • Export as Reference - this will export the file as a MOV Reference (ie pointer) file

    • Fast Start - this option will save the video/audio index in the front of the file instead of at the end.

    • Save Audio In Reference - this option only applies to MOV Reference exports and will save the audio in the MOV Reference file.

    • Use V2 Audio Desc. - this option will use the newer V2 Audio Description in the MOV file, unchecked and it will use V1 Audio Description.

  • MP4 Format Settings

    • Fast Start - this option will save the video/audio index in the front of the file instead of at the end.

  • MXF OP1a Format Settings

    • Use MCA Labels - this option will inject any audio channels labels for any audio channels saved in the MXF file.

  • Image Sequence Format Settings

    • Video Export - This options allow you to choose the Image type to export. This can also be changed in the Export Video Options panel

    • Index Prefix - This option allows you to set what character appears before the numbered index starts.

    • Start Index - This options is where you can adjust the start numbered index

    • Create New Folder - The default setting is to always create a new folder to export Image Sequences to - it can be disabeld by unchecking this option.

General Settings

The General Settings allow you to change the exported file name, folder, extension case, and timecode.
