Sony RAW

These preferences define the default import behavior for Sony RAW files. All settings can be overridden per file in the Video Image → Source panel.


Playback and Decode Settings

  • Default Playback Resolution Sets the resolution used for Sony RAW playback.

    Lower resolution improves playback speed, at the cost of image detail.

  • Default Decode Quality Controls the default decode quality for Sony RAW media.


Color Processing Defaults

  • Default Log Processing Specifies the default color space applied during Sony RAW processing.

  • Resolution Options Sets the default output resolution for Sony RAW files.

  • Dst Color Level Defines how the color level is handled:

    • Full Range (Label) – Tags video as Full Range

    • Full Range (Convert) – Converts from Video to Full Range

    • Video Range (Label) – Tags video as Video Range

    • Video Range (Convert) – Converts from Full to Video Range


LUT & CDL Management

  • Sony LUT Folder Default folder shown when selecting LUTs for Sony RAW files.

  • Pre CDL LUT Enables an automatic 3D LUT applied before the CDL stage.

  • Enable CDL Toggles whether a CDL (Color Decision List) is applied by default.

  • Post CDL LUT Enables an automatic 3D LUT applied after the CDL stage.

  • Dst Color Space Pre CDL LUT Sets the destination color space used by the Pre CDL LUT.

  • Dst Color Space Post CDL LUT Sets the destination color space used by the Post CDL LUT.
