ProRes

When exporting to Apple ProRes, Tin Man provides a variety of codec configurations and export controls to match your production requirements.

Export Codec Options

  • Apple ProRes 422 HQ

  • Apple ProRes 422

  • Apple ProRes 422 LT

  • Apple ProRes 422 Proxy

  • Apple ProRes 4444 (YUV) – Encodes using YUV color format

  • Apple ProRes 4444 XQ (YUV) – Encodes using YUV color format

  • Apple ProRes 4444 (RGB) – Encodes using RGB color format

  • Apple ProRes 4444 XQ (RGB) – Encodes using RGB color format

Bitrate Options

  • Variable Frame sizes may vary based on content complexity. (Default and recommended)

  • Constant (Windows Only) All frames are encoded at the same size. Useful for systems that require consistent bitrate encoding.

Additional Export Settings

  • Preserve Alpha if Possible When enabled, the export will include an alpha channel if the source supports one.

    Only applicable to ProRes 4444 and ProRes 4444 XQ.

  • Export at Maximum Depth Enables export at the highest bit depth supported by the source file and the selected ProRes variant.
