Export Video Options

The Video Export drop down control allows you to choose what type of video to export or to passthru the source video to the exported video or to disable video export.

The current Video Export options are:

  • MOV - PassThru, ProRes, DNxHR/HR (Pro License Needed), H.264, H2.65, MPEG2, AVC-Intra/AVC-LongG (Intel CPU only), XAVC-Intra/XAVC-L (Intel CPU only), Uncompressed

  • MP4 - PassThru, H.264, H2.65

  • MXF OP1a - PassThru, ProRes, DNxHR/HR (Pro License Needed), H.264, MPEG2, AVC-Intra/AVC-LongG (Intel CPU only), XAVC-Intra/XAVC-L (Intel CPU only), JPEG2000

  • MXF OP-Atom - PassThru, ProRes, DNxHR/HR (Pro License Needed), H.264, MPEG2, AVC-Intra/AVC-LongG (Intel CPU only), XAVC-Intra/XAVC-L (Intel CPU only), JPEG2000

  • Image Sequences - (this lists the Image Types supported) - DPX, BMP, TGA, TIFF, PNG, JPG, EXR

Codec Settings - Please see the different video codec settings subsections for a more detail view on the export video codecs.

Frame Settings

  • Frame Rate - This is the frame rate for the exported file and is not adjustable

  • Field Order - This is the field order for the exported file and depending on the video codec - this may or may not be adjustable

  • Resolution - This is the resolution for the exported file and depending on the video codec - this may or may not be adjustable. If adjustable - you will also have the option to adjust the video aspect.

  • Dither - Options for rounding when converting integer to float.

  • Color Space - This is the color space for the exported file and depending on the video codec - this may or may not be adjustable.

  • Color Level - This is the color level for the exported file and depending on the video codec - this may or may not be adjustable.

  • Maximum Gamma Precision (Slower) - this is mainly used when converting between certain HDR formats to SDR.
