This panel controls how metadata is handled during export jobs, including file locations, mapping behavior, and default metadata types.

Metadata File Export Settings

  • Custom Metadata Location Sets the default folder where FCPXML or Avid AAF metadata files will be saved (when applicable).

  • Export FCPXML to Custom Metadata Location When enabled, FCPXML files generated during export jobs will be saved to the Custom Metadata Location.

  • Export Avid AAF to Custom Metadata Location When enabled, Avid AAF files generated during export jobs will be saved to the Custom Metadata Location.

Metadata Mapping

  • None – No metadata will be mapped to the exported file

  • Inspect – Only metadata visible in the Inspect Panel will be included

  • Src – All metadata present in the source file will be exported

  • Inspect + Src – Combines both Inspect Panel and source metadata

Default Metadata Types

  • Various Metadata Types Choose which types of metadata are included by default in export jobs (e.g., Adobe XMP, QuickTime, MP4, EXR).

These settings act as defaults and can still be adjusted per job in the Export Panel.
